E-NOUS
(European Network Of Utilitarian Scholars)

Utilitarian thought has a growing influence in the fields of philosophy, law and ethics. This is already felt in the English-speaking world but in Continental countries, interest is growing, albeit at a different pace and with a different focus.
It now seems that time has come to build a common “European research gateway” centred around utilitarian studies.
A common interest in utilitarianism is the drive behind the project of building a European Network of Utilitarian Scholars, otherwise called E-nous.
The network aims at promoting research in the field of utilitarian studies by informing scholars on the state of research in the field and of the events related to utilitarianism thanks to an interactive information platform. It will be at the centre of this operating network.
The initiative of the e-nous network originates from the Sociedad Iberoamericana de Estudios Utilitaristas (Espagne), co-headed by Pr Manuel Escamilla, and from the Centre Bentham (University Paris 10, France), headed by Pr  Jean-Pierre Cléro. A Web page devoted to e-nous will be accessible on Websites of the respective Centres. The WebPages will post information, have a mailing list and be a forum of exchange for utilitarian research (coming soon).
